Sorouh
Real Estate has announced that property developers
will have the opportunity to invest in the
Waterside Residences, part of the 'Shams Abu
Dhabi' project, at the property show now being
held in Abu Dhabi.
|
The
Waterside Residential plots include 22 residential
buildings of six to eight stories overlooking
a canal and the mangrove nature preserve.
This is a unique environmental area and the
design of the buildings reflects the natural
element of the setting. There is an outdoor
feel to the design, as each residential building
has its own swimming pool amongst other sports
and recreational facilities.
|
'The
marketing phase of these Waterside plots builds
on Sorouh's continuing commitment to build
state-of-the-art communities in perfect balance
with their natural surroundings,'he said Mr.
Mounir D. Haidar, CEO of Sorouh Real Estate.
Haidar noted that the latest environmental
building technologies will be utilized in
the project in an effort to preserve the natural
atmosphere of the setting.
|
'This
residential area forms an essential part of
the Shams project, which consists of a number
of residential, commercial and recreational
facilities,' the CEO continued. 'This will
be supported by the most modern infrastructure
and connected by innovative transportation
networks.'
|
Haidar
also noted that the recently-announced architectural
design competition to design the Waterside
plots exemplifies Sorouh's commitment to encouraging
an open competition among the leading design
and development firms in the world. He said
that the competition will facilitate a platform
for the leading designers to exchange ideas
and discuss concepts relating to best practices
of the industry. He noted that the Waterside
project as well as Shams Abu Dhabi will reap
the benefits from this gathering of top architectural
design talent.
|
Sorouh
management has said that the unique environmental
features of Al Reem Island will be reflected
and enhanced in the Shams Abu Dhabi development.
Sorouh is committed to implementing the highest
global standards in reaching the perfect balance
between urban development and the preservation
of natural features.

Shams
Abu Dhabi was the first major development
project to be announced by Sorouh Real Estate.
The project occupies approximately 25 per
cent of the overall area of Al Reem Island,
which is located 300 meters off the northwest
shore of Abu Dhabi. It will consist of 22,000
residential units as well as hotels, schools,
recreational and health care facilities that
will eventually be home to a population of
more than 80,000 residents.
