HE Dr. Sheikh Sultan Bin Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan
inaugurates IREIS 2007
Exhibitors at Abu Dhabi's premier property expo showcase
prime real estate opportunities in the UAE capital
Abu Dhabi, 21st March, 2007
His Excellency Dr. Sheikh Sultan Bin Khalifa Bin
Zayed Al Nahyan, Member of the Abu Dhabi Executive
Council inaugurated the third edition of IREIS
2007. 47 exhibitors are taking part at Abu Dhabi’s
premier property show showcasing prime investment
opportunities to investors in the UAE capital.
IREIS 2007 will take place over the next four
days at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre.
|
Stating that the exhibition
was a prime opportunity for property buyers
to capitalise on the exciting projects in
the UAE capital, HE Dr. Sultan said that Abu
Dhabi was today one of the most dynamic business
destinations in the region. “The aggressive
economic diversification programme of the
Abu Dhabi government has opened up diverse
opportunities and real estate is one of the
key sectors on the government's diversification
agenda. Measures undertaken over the last
few years to liberalise the property market
and boost investments in the sector have made
Abu Dhabi a very attractive destination for
real estate development”.
|
47
exhibitors are taking part at IREIS 2007 and
the exhibition occupies an area of over 6,500
square metres. In line with the vibrancy in
the UAE capital’s real estate environment,
the show has doubled in terms of exhibit space
since last year’s edition.
|
“IREIS
2007 is a platform for investors and real
estate providers to interact and conclude
deals directly and is focussed on the final
consumer rather than members of the trade
community” said Antoine Georges, Director,
Dome Exhibitions, the organiser of the IREIS
2007.
|
Since mid-2004 projects
with a total value of more than AED 380 billion
have been announced in Abu Dhabi. These include
The Quay, Yas Island, Saadiyat island, Al
Raha Beach, Danet Abu Dhabi, Najmat Abu Dhabi,
Shams Abu Dhabi and Capital Centre.
|
According
to the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce &
Industry, Abu Dhabi will see AED 500 billion
being pumped into real estate investments
and the emirate’s construction and real
estate investments are expected to contribute
AED 40 billion to the emirate's GDP in 2007.
|
